Between matters of home, work and volunteering are moments when my attention drifts and I float on random thoughts. Come join me along the riverbank, as I write and ramble on about the thoughts that seem worth sharing.

Eva and the Daffodils

On March 11, my life was enhanced with the arrival of a granddaughter. Around 5:10 p.m. I was at my desk addressing envelopes, and in a vision I saw my father standing next to me. Just a few minutes later the phone rang. It was my son-in-law calling to announce Eva's arrival... In a flash, her photo was on Facebook and I was able be with her even though she was thousands of miles away. How fortunate and blessed we are to have technology to bridge the miles, and Spirit to bridge our hearts and minds... and the daffodils that bloomed and danced the same day.

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. . . .

from "The Daffodils" by William Wordsworth
